We’re one week into the best month of the year, not just because it’s my birthday month but because of Women’s History Month. First, Happy International Women’s Day to all my ladies, especially black women! I’m so proud to be gang! Anywhooo, it’s been two years since I wrote ‘The Sexiest Month of the Year.‘ In that post I highlighted some of my girls and their careers. They each are still flourishing in their paths and even added a little something extra to their table!
There may be some women in your life, and you want to show your support, but you don’t know how to start. Let me help you real quick. Say some of these women may have a business; how can you help them? Talk about their business to people who will benefit from them or share a few posts whenever you see them on your newsfeed or TL if you’re not in everybody’s face, lol. You may never know who may watch your story that could be their next customer.
You may have some women who own their boutiques (wink wink); if you can’t wear their clothes, that doesn’t mean you can’t support them. Spread the news to people who can. They will probably become a longtime customer because you were the one to tell them about their store or show a few of their pieces. And if you can wear their clothes, then be a model babe! Whenever you do wear those clothes, grab your camera and show off! If you post them, tagging them in the pics will reach them and their customers. They may even feature you on their website to show exactly how you have styled it.
The possibilities are endless when it comes to women because we have so much to bring to the table; food, clothes, jewelry, services, events, blog posts, photographs that will last a lifetime, and much more. So if you genuinely want to make a difference in a woman’s life this month, support her and her business ventures as much as you can. Also, don’t let this month be the only month you show up for her. Stand by her, and I know for a fact she will do that and tenfolds for you as well.
To my beautiful readers who are women, I want you to know that I love you. I hear you. I see you. No matter what life has thrown at you, look at you still standing. Head held higher than high and walking throughout life wearing that crown ✨perfectly✨ I read something earlier that said “you can’t pour from an empty cup…” I’m sure you’ve heard it before. Even though you’re still standing, life can be heavy. So take some time out of this month, better yet every month to focus on you. Do what makes you happy. Be the definition of enjoyment and peace so you can continue to pour into the people in your life. They need you, but most importantly you need you!
Continue to be great this month like I know you will! Show up for yourself and those remarkable women in your life!
