Outside of dealing with pollen, spring is something we all look forward to. The longer days and warmer nights are some of the few things that can be the attitude adjustments that make you and your wardrobe a little better. Here’s one way you can brighten up your day without much effort.
Please don’t be afraid of color. Wear all the colors, sis (bruh if you’re reading this too). Maybe not at once but you definitely should take time to learn what colors work for you and how you can incorporate them into your everyday style. With neon colors taking over malls near and far, this shouldn’t be too hard.
Being blessed with all this melanin allows me to radiate whenever I wear colors. There are a few others I have yet to wear, but the one that will always reign supreme; yellow. This color is the ultimate game/mood changer. I’ve written about the wonderful effects that come with seeing yellow, wearing it is no different. You literally become a ray of sunshine the minute you walk out the house.

You can wear this color from head to toe or accessorize it with your ootd with a yellow purse, hair accessories, or even your shoes. I actually went ahead and made it the statement piece in my look. The pants will definitely be a conversation starter because it will more than likely be the first thing anybody will see before they see me, but mind you, they are not overbearing. Whoever you encounter when you wear these pants will gravitate towards you. With the right top, you will look like you are bringing spring and summer with you wherever you go.
Pairing the pants with a denim top was my goto and to be a little more dressed up, I went with an off-the-shoulder kente top. (I clearly have an OTS problem lol I’m always showing off my shoulders.) Wearing the OTS top completes the look since the yellow in the top match the pants perfectly!

A t-shirt is good too if you want to go for a casual look. Tie a knot in the shirt or simply tie it together to get a similar look. Dress it up with stiletto heels, flats, or sandals for your comfort.
Even though it may not feel quite like spring today, hopefully in the coming days she will get with the program. And you don’t have to wait until the warmer days to wear bright colors. Start now!
Will you spring into style with the color yellow and other bright colors? How will you finesse it into your everyday life?
Whenever you do, enjoy it and take plenty of pictures!
See you in the next one
