Major Announcement

Have you ever been sitting on something that you’ve worked hard on because you wanted to make sure everything was going to be perfect before you open it to the masses? Well, I have for a good couple of weeks. As you know I enrolled myself into School of Style for the Personal Stylist Program back in June. I’m proud to say that I have completed the program and have been working on getting my styling services up and running. I’ve been a ball of nerves since I finished knowing what to do but scared to put into fruition.

As of today, Oct 15, 2018 Styles of a Curvy Girl is offering styling services!!!

I didn’t know when I wanted to officially start this journey till I gave myself a date. The 15th sounded so good and sat well with me. I felt like if I didn’t give myself a deadline to make this a reality I would have sat on this for God knows how long, just off the simple fact of fear and planning on planning.

When the Nike commercials started to air on every channel I felt like each one was speaking to me. I felt this push frequently, and it drove me crazy lol. In the midst of the commercials, I heard someone say something along the lines of “over planning won’t mean anything unless you don’t start.” That phrase alone kept playing in my head over and over again. It was like I was in church and the sermon was directed towards me. I no longer could sit on this, its’s time. So here I am!

I no longer will allow myself to block the many blessings that can and will come my way (you shouldn’t either whatever you’ve been working on). Nor will I allow self-doubt to make an appearance when it comes to my dreams. I’m doing this for me, but also becuase I know somebody is out there waiting for me stop playing so I can help them find their style and bring it to life.

Start somewhere because if you don’t it will always be a dream.
