🌬Burr 🌨

What do you wear when it’s below freezing? I’ve been trying to come up with different ways to keep warm, and still the gust of wind finds a way to send chills down my spine.

There have been days where I didn’t want to leave my house, let alone my bed. Snow days use to be my favorite because there would be no school, now on the other hand I can’t stand them lol. Of course bills have to be paid & money definitely has to be made. That only means that I have still be going to work.

Retail knows no time off…

…neither does my closet!

#1 RULE: LAYER UP & KEEP IT CUTE

At my job we don’t have uniforms, but we must wear black (we can also accessorize with color). I can’t go ALL OUT like I would like, so I make whatever I have in my closet work best for me & my job’s policy.

*whispers* layering up doesn’t always have to mean you’re going to look bulky.

Under my pants I’ve typically be wearing tights or leggings, I’ve been wearing 2 pair of socks, and at least 1 shirt under my top. Being anemic I cannot play with the cold or I’ll stay cold. Wearing a thick sweater like mine in the first picture, is always great!

#2: GET A COAT

I’ve been wearing this fly coat almost everyday since Christmas!

I immediately fell in love with this coat the moment I saw it at Vivi Trendsetter. Even in my all black, this coat makes THE statement every time I walk in and walk out.

Also having a regular smegular coat with a HUGE hood & a infinity scarf are great pieces to have too! Grab a hat and gloves too! Protect yourself at all cost!

These simple 2 rules without a doubt has kept me warm on the coldest nights, and I hope they help you as well!

What are some of your go to rules for dressing in the freezing cold?

Let me know & I’ll see you in the next one

Xoxo, Jonice 💕
