Happy New Year everyone!! I hope that 2018 is off to a great start for you. Have you set any resolutions for yourself? I kinda did and didn’t.
At the beginning of a new year, people tend to make resolutions and barely get them done by the following NYE. “Oh I’m going to get a gym membership and workout more” leads to “I got the gym membership, but I hardly go” Who knows if they actually put the work in. I know in the past that has been me (gym lol) and I don’t want to be the old me any longer. This year I’m not going to say what I’m going to do; I’m actually going to do them! I won’t call these resolutions, resolutions. They’re my goals.
In the first three months, I want these goals to be the stepping stone to many possibilities for me this year: trips, networking, and whatever doors open.
In January I want to renew my passport and get back in the habit of saving money. Throughout last year I kept saying I would renew it but never did. I won’t be playing myself any longer. I want to actually travel as much as possible this year. I was doing well when it came to saving, but then life tapped me on the shoulder a few times. I remember what it felt like to see my money continue to grow. It was such a wonderful feeling and I want that back. By any means necessary I want to see different countries and islands with my own eyes instead of living vicariously through others. After having a wonderful time at Daker Berrie‘s 2nd Annual Vision Board Brunch this weekend I felt like doing and not just sitting. I may not have finished my vision board but I do know that from what I have, this passport & saving my money will get me somewhere on my board.
I must say Yasmine & I were feeling furry! Our coats were giving me life on Saturday!
February will be about investing in myself. In order to step out and do my own thing, I must know exactly what I’m doing. I want my questions asked, I want to walk in with my head held a little higher. I want to the best for me and nothing less!
Make this year all about DOing! Whatever you want to do this year don’t hesitate, DO IT!
WHAT’S ONE GOAL YOU HAVE FOR THIS YEAR?
Shoutout to my friend Dontai for telling me about this shirt. The minute I found it, I took my size and went straight to the register. No, I’m not moody, but I am a Moody 🙂 If you don’t know you better ask somebody.
