Feeling Pink, Pink, Pink!

HAPPY MARCH!!! It’s finally the new year (according to my astrology girlies) and my favorite month. No, it’s not just because it’s my birthday, it’s also finally springtime…well almost. I love that it’s time to slowly transition your closet and homes for a little spring cleaning. Pack up those sweaters and open your windows, but also take your Claritin if you suffer from allergies like me.

Anywho, today I’m about to give you some tea on what I’ve been seeing come to light about what you need to add to your closet so you can be ready.

I don’t know if you noticed, but pink is everywhere. I’ve walked around in some of my favorite stores recently and at the front of each of them, there is either a whole section dedicated to pink or a few pieces in that color have been sprinkled throughout the store. Am I shocked? Not at all. Why? Well for a few years now, you would see me on Pantone looking up what color will be the SS color for the year. Last year was ‘Very Peri” with a few mixed blue hues. Those colors with the others DELIVERED! According to Pantone, this year is Beetroot Purple, “an emboldened fuchsia hue depicting the fruits of nature.”

I know that PINK and all her sister hues have made a scene and will continue to. But do you know what else is making a comeback? Metallics! Yes, girl, you read that right! Metallic skirts, DRESSES (for sure), and we may even see some shorts as the days get warmer and longer. Now don’t know this trendy fabric out your way just yet. You’re probably wondering why? Well, it’s because it’s just not in the common black or silver. We are getting colors you hear me?!?! Oranges, pinks, greens, and even some purples.

Just the other day, Amber Riley posted herself in this beautiful one-shoulder purple metallic dress paired with lavender heels and gloves (that gave it such a soft touch). The entire look gave “I’m bringing in the spring and can’t nobody stop me” and I loved every minute of it.
