Checking In!

It’s another Friday….in the house lol

I’m going to be completely honest with yall, okay? I’ve been struggling to try to create something through all of this. I’m doing my part in flattening the curve, but chile I am tired! I am not one who will fake the funk so let’s get a few things off my chest.

I planned on today’s post to focus on my Easter outfit options. Then on Sunday morning, I was going to flick it up like I always do with my friend after service, then go have dinner. Last year, I slayed in my green dress from Fashion To Figure. It was the last one in my size so I knew that it was definitely for me.

I can’t even get the excitement about getting a whole new look for another Easter Sunday since we are currently under the Coronavirus pandemic.

This time of the year is my favorite because this Sunday is the Sunday of all Sundays. Or as I like to call it National Fashion Show Day. Everyone shows up to church in the brightest of colors, perfectly tailored suits, and little girls are running around in their ruffle dress with the white ruffle socks to match and the patent leather shoes. If you know, you know.

This weekend brings me joy because it’s like everybody gets a fresh start. It’s a breath of fresh air outside of pollen attacking my lungs lol. Even though we may not be able to strut in our new pieces I’m still taking this time to enjoy every minute that I have with my family.

I spoke about how this pandemic is teaching me how to enjoy the things I have, the family and friends, and not to take anything for granted. Yes, I do miss going out with my friends and having a great time. I just know that when everything is said and done, I will continue to enjoy every minute that I get to do what I love and do it without fear. I will laugh more. I will hug my friends more. I will do everything in my power to make sure that I do what I want to the best of my abilities and be there for the people who are in my life because in the blink of an eye it can all be gone.

Please stay in the house and be safe.

Wash your hands. Use hand sanitizer when you can’t. After you use your gloves do not leave them on the ground, put them in the trash. Sanitize everything after you come from the store. Do your part to make sure you and your family are safe. Don’t stress. Remember we will get through this.

What are you going to do when Coronavirus is gone? I know I will be going to my favorite bar and getting some wings 🤤 It’s been too long.

See you in the next one
Xoxo, Jonice 💕
