Let’s take a look back at the famous New York Fashion Week. There were many beautiful pieces that graced each runway. Then there were many looks that we saw make an appearance more than once. Those reoccurring looks gave us a look into what to expect this spring and summer.
Some of my favs I can’t wait to take a spin for myself are:
If you saw Cardi B strutting in that beautiful lavender Christian Cowan suit. How could you forget about the feathers that graced her body? I may not want to have them that big across my body, but if birds of a feather flock together, I want all parts of this trend! Feathers are the new fur during the spring, are you here for it?
I don’t have many pieces that are covered in polka dots, but that’s definitely going to change this season. I believe people will go head over heels for this trend because it can be neutral like stripes. Mix and match it with colors and different prints or even with different color polka dots.
We all have either made or purchased something tie-dye before and its time to get some more. Usually, when you think of this print it’s you think of an old t-shirt you got at camp 10 years ago, but this season that’s bound to change. The runways have been swimming in this print, pairing it with denim and even on purses, better yet anything! Do you see yourself wearing it frequently during the spring and summer or when you’re at the beach/pool?
Even with marigold yellow is making a name for itself on the runway, a few other colors are making a statement. The different shades from pink, lime green, and orange will be the highlight in your closet. Spring and Summer are known for bright colors since during the fall the color wheel can get a little dull. So when the weather gets warmer, the brighter the better right? Exactly why neon colors are perfect to play with this season. *whispers*honorable mention: I’d like to add to add lavender onto the list. Keep your eyes open, you’ll be surprised how much you will see it in the coming weeks.
Check your favorite brands like Forever 21, Zara, and even some department stores to get your hand on these trends. Tell me how will you be making these trends fit you?!
I can’t wait to see how you all pop out once the warmer days come.
Till then see you in the next one
Xoxo, Jonice 💕
