My Turn

You know the saying, “This is my year”? And then, at the end of said year, it wasn’t? Well, I know that won’t be the case this year.

2025 holds so much significance for me—my 10-year college graduation anniversary, SOACG’s 10-year blogaversary, and the boutique’s 5th anniversary! These three milestones are incredibly close to my heart. I started this empire as soon as I walked through the Bearden Gates, and I know that 2025 will be as good to me as I’ve always dreamed.

The end of last year proved that I can do what I want and be heard when I walk into any room. I’m not on the scene—I am the scene. Bas knew exactly what he was doing when he made 179 Deli. It stuck with me the moment I heard it, and played it on repeat probably a lil too much lol. I plan to prove that I’ve always been that.

This year, I’m stepping fully into I’m not on the scene; I am the scene. You will see me and everything I pour myself into. I owe it to 10-, 15-, 18-, 22-, and 25-year-old Jonice. I am my wildest dreams.
