This time last week I was making my way back from vacation. Those two nights did more for me than I thought. It was complete relaxation. From the customer service of the staff, the beauty of the hotel, and the food, I will def be back sooner than later. But before I even make my way back to the beach, let’s get into what I wore while I was there.
Travel day, I kept it really cute and comfy. I went to work in my Late Night with Ler and Lionel tshirt with our (archived) Dani biker shorts. This fit was made for traveling.
I was able to hop in the car as soon as I got off and I took a whole nap until my travel girlies needed to make a stop. I was up the rest of the ride (it was only a 3 trip so believe that when I went to sleep for real I was knocked). When we got to the hotel I immediately felt like I was at a resort far away from home.
The hotel is beautiful! 48 floor, 12 restaurants, and a casino?!?! It beat the other hotels in the area out the water. I didn’t take one picture of the inside or take a pic with the sign in the lobby lol. I’ll do better next time. Anywho, we went to get some food, walked around the hotel and soon was able to check in. Once we were able to get to our rooms, GIIIIRL! I almost shed a tear looking at the view from my room. I was able to look directly at the beach and not leave if I didn’t want to. I was even able to catch the sunrise the next morning which was beautiful!
After getting some sleep, I didn’t get out the bed for real until noon. I decided that this was going to be my beach and pool day. I brought maybe 5 swimsuits with me, even though I wasn’t going to be there that long, but I’m a girl that needs options. I picked one of my fav swimsuits: black drawstring bikini top and cheetah print bottoms. Two pieces are from two completely different swimsuits, and yet they work.
I then wore an oversized cow print button down top from PLT with our Lindsey denim shorts, black shades and some pink slides.
I stayed at the beach no more than two hours before you found me at the pool ordering a few drinks from the Rum Shack.
I understand that it’s still summer and everybody is on vacation, but the amount of kids that were there…I was ready to send them back to school lol. But thats where my headphones came in handy. Once I pressed play, I was transported right back to my own bubble on an “island”. One day I’ll end up on somebody’s island at an adult only resort where I’ll really show off. For now, this will do.
I ended my stay at the pool and made my way back to my room to link up with the girlies for dinner. I then put on the top from our newest set, Jordan. I paired that with the cow print pants from the top I wore earlier that day. I originally thought that the pants were going to be a little looser than they were, but they made do.
After dinner, I went upstairs to change into the pants that went with the top. The tassel detail MADE the fit! As soon as I met back up with the girls, I had so many aunties coming up to me asking me where did I get them from.
It felt so good to tell them that they were coming to the boutique in a few days. Throughout the night I ended up taking pictures and making a few tiktoks to show off how I was moving. I made my final rounds of getting late night snacks and finally sat down at The Park to end my night. The wind felt like it was moving at 40 mph, so naturally I moved right back into my room lol.
The next morning came quicker than I wanted it to, but I had to check out. Two nights were great but I know that the next time I do a solo trip, I might have to make it three, which will let me bring more swimsuts and looks!
Hopefully you were able to slide to the beach sometime this summer. If you haven’t I say run away and spend a few days or even make it a day trip. It’s something about being next to the water that does the body right. I know after the time I spent away from it, I will never go that long again. As a water sign, I need it more than ever.
