The Top Three Tips to Have an Enjoyable Summer

Happy summer, my loves. We made it! The Maryland heat is already at a high of 95 degrees, and it’s only going to get hotter. So, what’s a girl supposed to do in weather like this? I’ve got a few tips to make the next few weeks not just bearable but fabulous.

Stay Cool and Comfortable

For my ladies who love summer but hate sweating, stay close to an AC or fan, or just chill indoors. It’s the ultimate comfort zone, so focus on events happening indoors (comedy shows, concerts, brunch, or explore on eventbrite to find your next cool function). Elevate your comfortability by carrying a mini fan when you’re out and about. Trust me, it saved my life at day parties and festivals last summer.

Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!

In this age of stylish Stanleys and their dupes, there’s no excuse not to have water with you at all times. Get a tumbler for every outfit or find one that matches everything. The key is to stay hydrated, queens. Your skin and body will thank you.

Wear Whatever TF You Want!

I say this with my whole heart: wear what makes you feel good! Sometimes, I have to remind myself of this. People will always have opinions, so you might as well be comfortable and confident. If they’re going to talk, let’s give them the whole storyline and plot, okay? Let the plot thicken with every step you take. Flaunt those back rolls, the handles we love, and the cellulite on your thighs in that mini dress or skirt. Show off those stretch marks on your tummy in a crop top, and let your skin glow under the sun’s touch.

Create Unforgettable Memories

Let this summer be the foundation of memories that last a lifetime. Bask in yourself and everything you are. Take that solo (or group) trip to the beach. Wear that bikini or cutout sexy one piece you’ve been waiting to show off (leave the coverup at home!). Stay out until 3am or even 5am if you really have the sh*t on. The moral of the story is to have fun, and that starts with you!

As always, be safe and enjoy your weekend.

See you in the next one.

Xoxo, Jonice 💋
