The summer has come to an end, and it’s time to bid it farewell. I’m not sure if you’re experiencing the same weather as me in Maryland, but it’s officially cold here. I need to start sorting through my jackets and maybe do some shopping for new ones because baby the wind said I’m hereeeee.
So far, I’ve attended 13 concerts, a wine festival, art galleries, brunch, parties, and various other events this summer. I’ve worn plenty of outfits, and some were so great that I wore them twice!
I’m a huge fan of wearing less and going out more, so naturally, I wore some crop tops this summer. One outfit that stands out is when I wore my zebra skirt as a top while bar hopping in D.C. It was a simple yet effective outfit.

Next time, I might style it differently with another skirt or different pants to elevate the look.
I was really into wearing maxi skirts this summer. I either wore them as tops or styled dresses into maxi skirts. One particular outfit that I loved was when I went to a concert wearing a crop top with a little razzle-dazzle.

Shoutout to Kiara for helping me style it.
Out of all concerts I went to, a few outfits from those shows made it onto my list. One of them was when I went to see Erykah Badu perform in D.C. I wore one of my favorite Hanifa pieces and felt incredible.

It had been almost a year since I last wore it, so it was the perfect opportunity to wear it again.
I attended Linganore’s Reggae Summer Wine Fest, and it was scorching hot. I wore Heatwave backwards and styled it to give a one-shoulder look while I paired it with red shorts from Target.

I’m going to wear it again when I can give it the attention it deserves. Left is at the fest and to the right is how originally wore one random day to brunch.
I also went to a floral and candle-making class and wore my Kia Collective dress as a skirt. Check out the episode of Get Undressed with Moody to see how I styled it differently.

I can’t forget to mention my Beyonce outfit, which I already wrote a whole post about, but I’m bringing it up again.

For another concert, this time to see The O’Jays, I wore my uniform – a dress as a maxi skirt with a top. It was my first time wearing that particular top, and it made my all-black outfit so much better. I may have been the youngest person there, but I was one of the best dressed.

Lastly, here are a few of my favorite everyday outfits (and the ones that didn’t make the cut) that I wore this summer:

Overall, this summer was amazing. I had so much fun and made some great memories with friends. As the weather gets colder, it’s time to break out the layers and go shopping!
I hope you had a great summer. As we finally make way for Fall to come get us together, I wish you all the good vibes, spiked apple cider, great outfits, and memories that will last until next summer and beyond.
Stay cozy, and I’ll see you in the next post.
Xoxo, Jonice π
Wishing you good vibes as well. I can’t wait to see your Fall outfits. ππβ€
